Secret Sauna
Secret Sauna is the ultimate mobile wood-fired sauna experience. Offering 45 minute sessions in amongst the most beautiful locations across North Devon. 7 people can comfortably sit in the sauna at a time. Based in Woolacombe and Exmoor, our goal is to expand to different locations and events, spreading the joy of our rejuvenating sauna sessions.
The idea of the Secret Sauna was a light bulb moment whilst I was walking in the Valley of Rocks. I have visited many saunas which are all located within a spa setting or environment. I found these to be not only clinical but also expensive. I wanted to create an experience where it was affordable bringing people to an area of national beauty. Secret Sauna is not just for one category of people its for all shapes, sizes, sexes, we welcome everyone.
I chose these particular locations because they have played a huge part in my colourful upbringing. They gave me joy in the most unprecedented times. Growing up I found nature to be my biggest healer so I would love others to soak up the benefits of not only the sauna but the experience of what the land can offer. I believe a combination of the two are a recipe for great physical and mental health.

Sauna Etiquette
To ensure everyone enjoys a relaxing experience, please follow these rules:

Entry & Exit: Enter and leave the sauna quietly and carefully.

Shoes & Towels: Remove shoes before entering and bring a towel or cloth to sit on.

Changing: No changing facilities are provided. Wear a changing robe or attire you’re comfortable in before and after your session.

Session Length: Limit sauna use to 5–15 minutes per session, with breaks. Do not exceed 20 minutes at a time.

Oils: Essential or other oils are not permitted.

Attire: Only swimwear is allowed. Nudity is prohibited.

Hydration: Bring your own water and stay hydrated before, during, and after your session.

Temperature: Respect the natural temperature of the sauna.

Cold-Water Dip: Check if your location includes a cold-water dip before booking.

Hygiene: Do not urinate in the sauna.

Respect Others: Maintain privacy and avoid disturbing others. Shared sessions mean you may be with the public unless booking privately.

Arrival: Arrive at least 5 minutes before your session to enjoy your full time.

Food & Drink: Only water is permitted in the sauna.

Conduct: Secret Sauna may ask anyone who violates these guidelines to leave.
